Label execs for Taylor Swift are playing her new song, “Mine,” for radio stations across the country. One of them (KILT), described the song as "an uptempo song that’s unmistakably Taylor. It’s a boy/girl song, sort of like “Love Story,” but a much more realistic look at a relationship. It shows Taylor’s growth and maturity over the 2 years since she released Fearless, but still maintains Taylor’s ability to tell a story with an instantly memorable hook."
Radio won’t get a copy of the song until next week. “Mine,” will be the first release from Taylor's upcoming new CD, Speak Now, which hits stores on 10/25.

And of course, I also joke that it was hard to find a word that rhymes with synagogue." -- Tammy Ragusa

The Zac Brown Band will release it's new studio album, "You Get What You Give," on Sept. 21, and Brown said it's "going to be amazing."
Zac says ,"Every step of it's done the right way and I expect people are really going to love this record and see the depth of our musicianship.
"We're always growing. Not that we've arrived at any grand finale or anything, but the progress from this last record to this one, it's tremendous and I'm proud of it."
The band's previous release, "The Foundation", remains at No. 2 on the Billboard country albums chart 86 weeks into its release. The group won the Grammy for best new artist this year.
Brown promised "You Get What You Give" will take that rep to a new level. He said there's a helping of country radio-friendly tunes among the album's 15 tracks. But the band also explores its other influences. There's a little Texas swing, some jam-band jams and lots of harmony along the lines of Crosby, Stills Nash and Young and The Eagles. The Allman Brothers Band was an influence as well.
Zac said the album is marked by maturity.
He says, "We write all the time and there's no way that we could record everything that we write, so this is the cream of the crop of the last three or four years."
And while expectations are high for the album, he believes the six-piece has reached them.
Zac says, "Very simply stated this record is going to reap the reward of all the love we put into this music. It's a defining record."

At last count, more than 59,000 viewers logged on as Taylor Swift chatted yesterday about her third album titled "Speak Now". It hits stores Oct. 25.
Taylor wrote all the songs on the collection including the first single "Mine," to be released in August.
She says "Mine" is about "my tendency to run from love".
SOME CHAT HIGHLIGHTS:
Selecting Title for New Album:That pertains to the album as a concept and as an entire theme of the record -- more than I can even tell you. I've been working on it for two years. Ever since we put out Fearless, I've been writing for this record and conceptualizing it and putting it together in my head as to what I wanted it to be. I like to take a lot of time in between albums to work up the next one and to see what it is. ...
For me, I write everything that I live, so you've got to give yourself a little bit of time to live a lot of things so you can write about a lot of things. My only option is to write about what I've been through and what I've lived. Thankfully, in the past two years, I've experienced a lot of things I've been dying to write about and a lot of things I wanted to say, in the moment, that I didn't. You know, in life, you have a lot of situations that pop up, and people that come into your life. Sometimes you don't get to tell them what you wish you'd told them. This album is my opportunity to do that. Track by track, each song is a different confession to a different person.
"Mine," the Album's First Single: It's a song that is about ... my tendency to run from love. It's been sort of a recent tendency. I think it's because that, for me, every really direct example of love that I've had in front of me has ended in goodbye, has ended in breakups. I think I've developed this pattern of sort of running away when it comes time to fall in love and to stay in a relationship. The song is sort of about finding the exception to that and finding someone who would make you believe in love and realize that it could work out. I'm never, ever going to go past hoping that love can work out. I'm always going to be very hopeful and blindly optimistic when it comes to love.
The Video for "Mine":We shot the video in Portland, Maine, which was the most beautiful place I've ever been. It was gorgeous. I loved it. I absolutely fell in love with it. ... I went there and got to spend two or three days just falling in love with it. When I am old and I have silver hair ... I want to live in Maine. I want to have a house and make necklaces or something -- and have a lot of cats. It's a whole fantasy for me.

Jimmy Wayne’s finishing his walk from Nashville to Phoenix to raise awareness of teen homelessness and Project Meet Me Halfway. He took a little break at an Arizona karaoke bar last week, going on stage with a secret identity.
Jimmy tweeted: “Ok every1, I’m letting you N on a secret: I’m going to enter a Karaoke contest tonite in Show Low AZ (undercover as Berry Wong)!stay tuned: Barry Wong”.
Jimmy put on a pink tank top and sang “Neon Moon” for the unsuspecting crowd. News of the joke made it to local politician Barry Wong, who said he’s cool with the country star stealing his identity.
He said, “I’m flattered he would associate my name with his famous country music star name and reputation, even if in jest”. Story
CMT posted a cute story: the real names of our fave country artists; past and present.
Patsy Cline was born with the name Virginia Patterson Hensley. And despite the countless references to "Hank" in country music lyrics, Hank Williams' actual name is Hiram King Williams.
Kitty Wells is often considered the Queen of Country Music. It's probably an easier name to remember than her real one, Ellen Muriel Deason.
And Roy Rogers' real name? .. Leonard Franklin Slye.
Conway Twitty borrowed his first and last names from Conway, Ark., and Twitty, Texas. Before that, he was known as Harold Lloyd Jenkins.
John Denver wisely dropped his real name -- John Henry Deutschendorf. Johnny Paycheck once signed his name as Donald Eugene Lytle.
Virginia Wynette Pugh is better known as ... Tammy Wynette. And Crystal Gayle changed her name from Brenda Gail Webb on the advice of her older sister, Loretta Lynn, noting that Brenda liked that Southern staple, Krystal hamburgers.
One of the biggest country stars of the 1980s kept his real first name but slightly adjusted his surname, transforming from Randy Traywick to Randy Travis. Back then, he shared the country charts with the mother-daughter duo, Diana and Christina Ciminella, a.k.a., the Judds. Naomi Judd used her maiden name for the famous moniker, while Wynonna eventually dropped it altogether.
Speaking of famous couples, how about Samuel Smith and Audrey Perry? Oh, you might know them by their middle names -- Timothy and Faith. Tim McGraw adopted his last name when he found out his real father was Tug McGraw, while Faith Hill kept her last name from her first marriage before she became a superstar.
Dropping the first name and using the middle name is a common practice in country music. There's Troyal Garth Brooks, Valerie June Carter, Morna Anne Murray, Margaret LeAnn Rimes, Ernest Clay Walker and Jessie Keith Whitley.
Meanwhile, some artists chop their last names, like Gary Allan Herzberg, Toby Keith Covel and Jimmy Wayne Barber.
You can swap out your old name with the French term for "The Voice," thus evolving from Gary Wayne Vernon Jr. to Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts.
Finally, do you know the artist with the best-selling country album in history? That would be Eileen Regina Edwards. When her mother married a man in the Ojibwa Indian tribe, Eileen took his last name. To honor him, she also changed her first name to the Ojibwa word for "on my way." Indeed she was. The world knows her now as Shania Twain.
Julianne Hough celebrates her 22nd birthday today! The singing, acting and dancing triple-threat has quite a schedule with a new album in the works, a second movie in the works and the possibility of rejoining the cast of Dancing With the Stars. She may joke that her age helps her manage it all, but she admits that she really just loves what she does. --Tammy Ragusa

‘You Get What You Give,’ the much-anticipated studio album from Zac Brown Band, on September 21st.
The album features a genre-defying collection of songs that the band has been testing on the road over the past year. Stand out tracks include: the somber piano-driven early fan favorite “Colder Weather,” the reggae-leaning, jam-inducing “Who Knows,” and a harmony-laced lesson on the merits of chasing after love “As She’s Walking Away.”
Praised for the ability to blend “down-home country with bits of reggae, bluegrass and rock to create a high-quality musical stew” (USA Today), front man Zac Brown notes that the new album “is representative of where we are right now. It combines elements of our southern rock and country roots, but also stays true to our jam-band style musicianship from the live show.”
Zac Brown Band is touring throughout the summer and joining Dave Matthews Band on several remaining dates including July 23 – Nationals Park – Washington, DC
