Hi, everyone! Welcome to my blog. Here's a quick Bio: I was born into radio and country music in the mid-eighties in Midland/Odessa, TX. I am very proud of my Texas roots (Dave will tell you). However, if you ask me where my hometown is I'll tell you Akron. I'm a Cleveland sports fan, so I know how to take disappointment and I love to watch and play all types of sports. I played soccer, softball, basketball and golf growing up and then when I got to college I decided rugby would a good choice, my knee and doctor disagreed. My favorite things to do included watching TV shows that 14 year old girls normally watch and sailing. My family normally takes a week or two every year and heads down to the British Virgin Islands. It's probably one of the most relaxing and beautiful places in the world! They also have preety good drinks:) That's me (to the left) enjoying a Bushwacker at Foxy's Taboo. Contact me HERE.
Had a chance to sit down with Kent before his big rally in Wapak. We talked about his future, favorite memories form the show and even touched on the judges. Check out the full interview below!
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who plans my nights around what is on Discovery Channel during Shark Week! It's a phenomenon that I don't think Discovery Channel could have dreamed of! It's like what American Chopper used to be for TLC.
Many people have their reasons for liking Shark Week and here are mine:
I am a SCUBA diver and love sailing and all things to do with beaches and oceans! Even though I know you're more likely to die by a falling mailbox than be some shark's supper, I still freak out every time I see one when I'm diving. One time when we were drift diving in the Bahamas, a reef shark came trolling by and juyst by instinct I jumped into our dinghy faster than you could even say, "shark!" My jump from the water into the boat, by the way, would put the dolphins at Sea World to shame. If you have ever tried to get onto any type of floating device from the water you understand how impressive that jump was.
Why do we fear sharks? One word: JAWS. They took this complex, beautiful creature and turned thit into a monster, which at times it can be. But, like with almost any animal in the sea, they're more afraid of us than were are of them. In fact, most shark attacks happen because people are doing one of two things...surfing or spear fishing.
When you're surfing and you're paddling out to get your wave, guess what you look like? You look like a sea turtle....sharks eat them. And when you're spear fishing you've got this flailing bloody fish about 2 1/2 feet from your body. A shark sees that some potential food is for the taking and they go after it, their eye sight is not that great. Plus, when they go to chomp down their nose goes up as well as their eyes, they are just a chomping!
These are just some of the things we learn during shark week! We are debunking everything Jaws put into our minds....who knew a movie could have so much power?!?
Now my favorite thing to watch during Shark Week is Myth Busters! I love that show no matter what! I found myself watching the repeats yesterday just to get me psyched for the new ones. Why is Shark Week so powerful? Aside from being awesome, I have no clue....but I sure am glad!
I had another chance to talk with Kent about how things are going during So You Think You Can Dance and even tried to give him a little taste of home so he knows how much support he has back here!
I've been getting a few requests for the song clip I played yesterday about LeBron. It was a parody of the song "Pray for You" by Jaron and the Long Road to Love! "Pray for You" was already a fan favorite and when you direct to LeBron it gets even better! So here is the entire song...enjoy and Lebron.....we REALLY pray for you!
Talked with The Band Perry about shooting fireworks off the stage, their new single and a sweet cover song they should perform (potentially with me:)). Check out the interview below.

So, I have been working out at Anytime Fitness for awhile now and I absolutely love it there. I actually look forward to working out, which usually isn't the case. I know the staff well and have met so many new people since I've become a memeber. We shot this video about a month after I started working out and I have become even more fit and feel even better. Take a look at the video, make fun of my hair and then make sure to check out Anytime Fitness. Chad is a great trainer and they've helped me so much and I'm sure they would love to help you too!
Check them out HERE!
Ahhh...I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan! I have all the books in hard back, plus a hard back version from South Africa (very cool).
I own all the movies AND I'm not ashamed of it! I think Twilight is dumb and Edward will always be Cedric....
Check out the interview I did with Steel Magnolia. Find out how they met, what Joshua did before he was a singer and what their thoughts are on coming from a reality show.
They'll be performing Friday night at Country Concert.
Today I had a chance to talk to Whitney Duncan, former Nashville Star contestant, who is performing in the Saloon at Country Concert on Thursday this year.
We got a little carried away and talked a little longer than we were suppose to (whoopsie), but I have the full interview for you to listen to right here!
Make sure to check out Whitney's website HERE.
